Whitby Abbey, Whitby, UK

The moody and magnificent ruins of Whitby Abbey are much more than a spectacular clifftop landmark. Since pre-history, successive generations have been drawn to the headland location as a site of settlement, religious devotion and even literary inspiration.

We had to climb a fence, because it was closed for public, to take a shot of this beauty. I guess it wasn't tourist season at that time.

Is just so beautiful!!! the lake the sky but specially that building. I don't know why abbys had such a beautiful place to live!! I want a place like that in its former appeareance somewhere lost , but with nowadays accomodations, central-heating and all! ;).

Are you living in Uk right now? or you have to travel there very often ? May I ask? :? :)
